Who We Need:


The Role of the Business Development Representative is to receive calls and turn them into qualified leads for the sales force. This is done primarily through inbound inquires via the phone, with some outbound efforts where the BDR follows up with those who have left voicemails. The role is dedicated to qualifying prospects into business opportunities.



What You'll Do:


 Core elements of the Business Development role:

  • Gather key information to update the CRM (Salesforce) system and assign a follow-up strategy
  • Identify opportunities that meet a minimum qualification criterion for the sales team
  • Transform incoming calls to Sales Opportunities, by educating, and challenging prospective buyers; not selling
  • Update SFDC to reflect current lead status
  • Take calls & follow-up on leads that come in via our inbound phone line
  • Schedule intro meetings w/potential buyers & Sales Managers to move leads into opportunities.
  • Searches internal databases, LinkedIn, etc. for additional key contacts within existing companies



Skills You'll Need To Have:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong rapport building and phone skills
  • Great problem solver; ability to grasp difficult concepts easily
  • Strong active listening skills
  • Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
  • Self-starter; inventive & ability to adapt quickly to changing environment
  • Willing to work in a team environment with Sales and Marketing
  • BA/BS degree
  • experience a plus
