Who We Need:

 

Malwarebytes is looking for a QA engineer who has a strong Windows OS internals knowledge and System Administration experience. Someone who enjoys building test computer systems and environments to uncover compatibility issues with various Windows desktop applications.

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Build, enhance and maintain current performance and compatibility test lab environment
  • Execute test cases and replicate customer issues
  • Uncover, document and track compatibility and performance defects
  • Improve test case execution efficiency and test coverage
  • Work in an agile development environment, collaborating with the engineering team to deliver quality software iteratively
  • Be an integral part of the team while continuously participating in improving process and test methodologies, execution efficiency and effectiveness

 

 

Skills You’ll Need to Have:

 

  • Strong background in Windows OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Networking and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
  • Experience in installing various Windows Servers such as SQL, App-V, Remote Desktop Service
  • Experience in desktop application compatibility testing
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP protocol and troubleshooting network issues in a lab setting
  • Some scripting experience on Windows (e.g. batch scripts, PowerShell, python, etc.)
  • Experience with virtualization environments such as VMWare, Hyper-V and Citrix
  • Good understanding of cloud environments (Azure and AWS)
  • 3+ years of work experience in a similar field or equivalent
  • BS Degree
  • Technology keywords: Windows OS internals, Active Directory, DNS, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, Desktop application compatibility and performance testing , stress testing, virtualization, Windows system administration, TCP/IP and networking.

 

Nice To Have Skills:

 

  • Knowledge of malware behavior on Windows in general
  • Automation framework experience in continuous development environments
  • Project and/or test plan and execution management experience or team lead experience
