Who We Need:


Malwarebytes is seeking a top tier candidate for the Senior Analytics Engineer role. The position will be responsible for helping to create a “Center of Excellence” around our data platform.

What You'll Do:


  • Data profiling
  • Ad-hoc & Operational Reporting – Requirements, Development, Testing, Delivery, and Support
  • Build and maintain the data dictionary
  • Building KPI Dashboards
  • Maintain and be the resident expert on BI tools
  • Be responsible for data quality
  • Drive proper instrumentation within the source systems
  • Ingest new data sources and build semantic layer



Skills You'll Need to Have:


  • 8+ years SQL skills – rock star level
  • 6+ years of ETL development experience
  • 6+ years of work experience developing semantic data mart
  • 4+ years experience in professional workload automation tools like Autosys/Control-M
  • 3-5 years of dashboards using BI tools or custom web dashboards
  • 2-3 years of building and maintaining logical and physical data models
  • 3-5 years of experience in data quality monitoring
  • Able to debug, troubleshoot, and solve PL/SQL issues
  • Strong background in SQL query tuning and optimization
  • Exposure to PII, data governance, security and access, SOX and PCI compliance
  • Great interpersonal skills in communicating with both technical engineers and business analysts
  • Scrappy.  Able to figure anything out.
  • Hungry to learn new technology – Big Data, Hadoop, etc.  A deep desire to be more techie.
  • Flexible, determined and able to work independently
  • Nice. Fun. Happy.  (we have a firewall keeping mean, boring and angry people out)
  • Bachelors degree in a technical/scientific field or equivalent work experience
